You will be based at our newly opened global R&D center and ASEAN headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, located at TRX 106. As part of our Malaysia team, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers locally and across our global teams in Sweden and Asia.

Internship Scope & Responsibilities

• Support backend development tasks using Java, Python and the Spring Framework under guidance from senior developers. • Assist with frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Svelte. • Help develop, test, and maintain application features and services. • Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and code improvement activities. • Assist with documentation, code reviews and adherence to development best practices. • Gain exposure to microservices, APIs and cloud-native development. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, automation, and DevOps.  

Learning Outcomes

• Practical exposure to fullstack development in a production environment. • Improved understanding of Java-based backend development, application of AI dev,  and modern frontend technologies. • Experience working in an international, professional engineering team. • Opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real business use cases.  

Internship Requirements

• Internship position only (students or fresh graduates). • Currently in the final year or final semester of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Basic knowledge of software development concepts and programming fundamentals. • Exposure to Spring Boot, Java, Python, (or any of the listed languages above) or backend development is a plus. • Any prior experience through coursework, projects, or internships is a plus. • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus. • Ability to communicate effectively in English; Mandarin Chinese is a plus. • Strong willingness to learn, contribute and work collaboratively in a team.
